So I started just this Tumblr blog thing. Why? Well to quote myself from the info section above:

This more of an experiment than a normal blog. On Twitter I occasionally find myself tossing out thoughts that span a bit more than 140 characters. This is an attempt to find a better medium for those thoughts. 

To expand on this a little bit, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing yet. Part of it depends on whether or not I actually remember to use this thing of course. But the tentative plan will be to use it for quick, random, off the cuff musings instead of well thought out arguments.

In the past I’ve often found that I had trouble keeping up any blogs I got started on because I became so bogged down with details (locating and links to articles I had read (but forgotten exactly where or when) or making sure there wasn’t some edge case I should consider, etc) that I would never end up pushing the publish button.

This is intended to be something different though.  I will probably make mistakes or miss things or be completely wrong from time to time but I figure that will be ok because real time thoughts and conversations are supposed to be like that.

Anyway, that’s all for now. We’ll see what this experiment yields.
